    What does the PI mean?

Perfusion index (Pl) is an indication of the pulse strength at the sensor site. The PI varies depending on individuals, physiological conditions, skin temperature and sense sites.Pl is also a good indicator of the reliability of the pulse oximeter reading. Higher the Pl, better the performance. Green indicates an acceptable range and yellow/red indicates a poor pulse signal. Methods to get a higher Pl:- Improper wearing will cause poor Perfusion. Please make sure to wear the device according to the instructions.- Cold tissues will also cause poor Perfusion, especially in winter. Warm subject's tissues or move to a warm room in this case.
